Helen Deneselya LPCC is a licensed professional clinical counselor and a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor in Ohio. She holds a Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh with additional post-graduate work at the University of Akron. Helen has over 28 years experience in such areas as chemical dependency, marital and family issues, college counseling, eating disorders and mental health. She began her work in infertility about 9 years ago and has provided services for four doctors in reproductive medicine in Ohio. She is currently affiliated as a consultant with Reproductive Gynecology, Inc., Akron. Helen has counseled and assessed numerous couples planning to use gestational carriers or donors to achieve pregnancy. She has been a speaker at the Ohio RESOLVE annual conference on the emotional aspects of infertility. Helen is married and the mother of three daughters, one of whom is adopted and came at the end of a six year struggle with infertility. She has empathy and compassion for infertile couples, and collaborated with a colleague in presenting an all-day workshop on the mind-body connections of infertility treatment. |
